Edward Francis Primary School is a maintained primary school - therefore, its admissions are handled by Essex County Council.  

September 2027 admissions to reception

Essex County Council’s policy is that children born on and between 1 September 2022 and 31 August 2023 would normally commence primary school in Reception in the academic year beginning in September 2027.

Showarounds for children due to start school in September 2027 commence in the week beginning 5th October and take place on most Tuesdays and Thursdays thereafter (finishing before the application closing date of 15th January 2027).  To book your visit, please contact the school (office@edwardfrancis.essex.sch.uk; 01268 775047).
