Meet the Governors
Welcome to the governors section!
Edward Francis Primary School is a maintained School within the Essex County Council local authority. Local management is by the Governing Body consisting of 14 governors. They work with the Headteacher and staff to determine and approve many aspects of school policy and are also responsible for managing the school’s budget – the money provided by Essex County Council and Central Government. The Headteacher is responsible for day to day management.
Governors become members of two committees that meet termly (Resources and Curriculum and pupil-related matters committees) and other committees that meet as and when needed (Pay, Staff discipline/dismissal, Pupil discipline/exclusion, Pay appeals and discipline/dismissal appeals).
