We're sure that your children will have a wonderful first year here at Edward Francis Primary School.
The classes are Ladybird and Butterfly class, we spend a lot of time choosing between both classrooms as well as learning in our outdoor classroom.

Keep updated.
Please regularly look at your child's Tapestry learning journey to see what we are learning.

We also have a year group blog for updates from the classrooms.

 Welcome to Reception!
We look forward to getting to know you and your child over this year. We have many exciting activities planned that we are confident your child will enjoy.
Please bring your child to the classroom door, via the Outdoor Classroom at the beginning of the day.
You will collect your child from the same door at the end of your child's session.
Keep an eye on the notice boards by the door for updates and new information.

Please remember to label all clothing and shoes, including tights, hats and gloves etc.
May we also remind you that children are not to bring toys and personal items to school.

PE is not a compulsory part of EYFS but we do have leesons approximately once per fortnight. Your child's teacher will let you know which day this will be.
If your child wears earrings please remove them before school on this day.  Due to the amount of time spent outside on any given school day, the children may not always do PE every Wednesday.
As much of our learning takes place outside please ensure your child is dressed appropriately for the weather, e.g brings a coat as the weather gets cooler. We will also be doing messy activities so please bear this in mind when purchasing clothing!
Please visit our blog and follow all the exciting things we do this year!
