• Painted egg competition winners

  Thanks to all children (and any adults who assisted them) who entered the 2014 Painted Egg Competition on the theme of 'Films' - entries were of a very high standard and picking winners was very difficult!  The Powerpoint below shows the winning entries.

• Parents in Literacy feedback forms

  A feedback form for the Parents in Literacy week has been sent home with every child whose parent came in during the course of the week. Your feedback helps up to understand how you felt about your experience of the day and what additional support you might feel, as a parent, you would like.
  
  Please could they be returned as soon as possible, either through the office or your child's class teacher?

• School CD Released!

  Thank you to all those who have ordered a copy of our Christmas CD - Christmas Wishes!  The CDs should be in your child's bag tonight!  It is not too late to put in your order - CDs cost £7.99.
  
  Congratulations to Matthew in Year 5 for winning the competition to design the CD Cover!  This fabulous design, alongside the talented singing of all our pupils makes for an amazing CD full of wonderful Christmas tunes!

• Bullybeat Video Launched

  As you may remember, on Wednesday 6th November, some of our very talented Year 5 and 6 pupils worked with Nathan and Sarah from the Songwriting Charity to produce their own anti-bullying anthem.  
  
  On Thursday 21st November, we were fortunate to welcome John Quinn from the charity to premiere the music video that was made on the day to accompany the song - have a look at the Year 6 blog to see the You Tube video - it's amazing and spreads such an important message about Anti-Bullying!

• FAO Year 5 Parents re: Osmington Bay 2014

  There is no specific form required for paying your £100 deposit for the trip.
  Please place your payment in a sealed envelope, marked with your child's name, class and 'Osmington Bay 2014 Deposit'.
  All cheques should be made payable to Edward Francis Primary School.
  When your deposit has been processed, you will receive a payment card which enables you and the school to keep track of your payments.

• Osmington Bay - return arrangements (updated 6pm)

  The coach carrying the year 6 children is now on the A127 and we expect that the coach will arrive at the school at around 6.30pm. 
  
  This evening, we ask parents to park away from the school site and then wait in the school car park (not on Uplands Park Road). When the coach arrives we will bring the children into the school car park to be reunited with parents and unload bags from the coach.

  It's our final night and everyone is ready to get dressed up and have a disco! After 2 activities tomorrow, we will make our journey back home - we have no idea yet what time we will arrive back at school, but will keep you updated on here!
