  • Edward Francis Juniors come 2nd at District Sports

    Sat 03 Jul 2010

Well done to all the children who went to the District Sports event on Thursday morning.

They all threw, jumped and ran brilliantly, and because of their superb efforts we were placed 2nd out of the group of schools we competed against.

In an assembly today (Tuesday 6th July) our triumphant District Sports Team proudly showed off their medals and the 2nd place trophy they had been awarded.

  • Class Planters and Gardening Club

    Thu 24 Jun 2010
Have you noticed how our school site is looking more colourful recently?

It's all down to a range of people we would like to thank.

Firstly, thank you to all of you who donated plants for the class planters.
They have all been planted up now and placed around the school building and are looking really good.
(And thank you to Mrs Walker who came up with the idea!)

Secondly thank you to the Gardening Club who are not only looking after the class planters, but have been working very hard keeping all the bedding areas around the school building dug over, weed free and looking good.

A special thank you goes to Miss Celejewski, Mrs Parson and Mrs Seaden who have been giving up their lunch times to help supervise the willing volunteers from different year groups to make our school site look so good.

  • Internet Safety

    Tue 23 Mar 2010
This afternoon, pupils took part in an informative assembly by a member of Childnet, regarding Internet Safety.

They will have brought home a leaflet showing the SMART internet safety rules, which are vital to understand in order to ensure the safe use of the internet and other communication technologies.
It may be useful to go through this with your child, or look at the Kid Smart website, which has lots of links, videos etc promoting the safety message: www.kidsmart.org.uk.

  • Music Festival Choir WILL start on Wednesday...

    Mon 08 Feb 2010
The Year 5/6 Music Festival choir will start this Wednesday 3.30-4.30.  I want to use this week before half term to become familiar with the songs and hand out song words to all pupils involved.
Please note that children in the orchestra are invited to join us for these rehearsals to also become familiar with the songs, as they will have to sing when not accompanying or playing their set.

Letters will be going home this evening (Monday).  Any questions please don't hesitate to contact me.

    Miss Jeffryes :)
